Strive to Shine

Online Safety

The internet is an integral part to our children's education and learning, therefore it is important that they use it, but also are fully aware of how to keep themselves safe whilst doing so.  At Scarcliffe Primary School we are committed to teaching our pupils all areas of online safety at an age appropriate level throughout their years with us.

Online Safety is embedded into the curriculum however we also hold whole school events and offer opportunities for parents to come in for assemblies the children prepare and question and answer sessions with staff.

Below is a link to CEOP's think you know as well as the 'Be Smart on the Internet' rules we teach the children and some helpful tips for parents.

Thinkuknow gives the latest information on the sites you may like to visit, mobiles and new technology. Find out what’s good, what’s not and what you can do about it. If you look after young people there’s an area for you too – with resources you can use in the classroom or at home. Most importantly, there’s also a place which anyone can use to report if they feel uncomfortable or worried about someone they are chatting to online. All the information here is brought to you by the team at the NCA's CEOP Command. We hope you like it!
